Navigon releases 7300T GPS device

Adorning an ultra-stylish frameless piano black body, Navigon’s new personal navigation device (PND) boasts of a 3D visualization support that displays landscapes and important landmarks. The device bundles in an advanced Voice Address Entry and Control feature that allows users to control the device by hands-free speaking commands like receiving a call or adjusting the volume.Offering free real-time spoken traffic updates, the 7300T GPS device packs in a unique blend of Panorama View 3D and Landmark View 3D features. Delivering a true 3D experience, the device is equipped with the NASA terrain height data that offers complete geographic guidance. Users can also lay their hands on richly-textured 3D landmarks across the U.S. and Canada.

The highlight of the innovative GPS device is its new Navigon MyRoutes feature. The intelligent function offers enhanced and individualized navigation by using a distinct method of personal route planning. The attribute reveals 3 route choices with the distance and ETA calculations for all user destinations entered. In addition to this, the feature also factors speed limits, construction and traffic.

Other features of the 7300T include extra-wide flat-panel touchscreen, intuitive interface with Navigon’s rich maps and menus, Reality View Pro and Lane Assistant Pro that provides extra directions, advanced text-to-speech technology, built-in ZAGAT guide, DirectHelp provides instant access to emergency directions and phone numbers and the new Clickable POIs feature that guides users to destinations shown on the map with one click.

Along with Bluetooth, an automatic day/night mode and the automatic standby features, the device also sports a Rand McNally Scenic Routes content feature that includes over 250 routes like weekend getaways, scenic tours and regional trips. The scenic routes content is based on Rand McNally’s Best of the Road series.
Starting Q2, 2009, the Navigon 7300T GPS device is expected to be available for a retail price of around $399.99. The device is also compatible to the company’s FreshMaps accessory which offers 8 map updates over two years for a price of around $79.99. Navigon also offers the accessory for $39.99 if a user activates it 30 days after purchasing the device.
