Users excited to get the iPhone on Verizon’s network—TeleNav has more great news. The company who built the only voice navigation software with the AT&T (News - Alert) Navigator announced today that it is bringing TeleNav GPS to Verizon customers for iPhone 4.
The first available application from the company serving Verizon comes with a small price tag (News - Alert) of $2.99 per month or $21.99 per year. Users can even try out the app for free for the first 30 days. In addition to up to date connectivity and one of the lowest prices on the market, the GPS program also allows users to choose limited access to only the GPS map and viewing local searches—of which the company says it currently has 22 million listings—for free. Local listings also feature ratings and reviews, in addition to merchant information.
TeleNav’s (News - Alert) GPS features spoken turn-by-turn directions, in addition to 2D and 3D moving maps that are automatically updated. The iOS multitasking support allows users to access other applications, and if a turn is missed, the GOS will automatically reroute. Aware (News - Alert) of surrounding light levels, the application will adjust brightness for easier viewing while driving at night.

TeleNav features other apps for IPhone in addition to those with GPS capabilities, such as MyTies, a private social networking application, allowing users to iPhone (News - Alert) users to employ their personal address book and contacts to create multiple private networks by inviting contacts to join and form groups.
